Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern the use of our website and the purchase of personalised artwork and related products from The Pixel Masala.

By placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Please read these Terms before submitting your photograph or completing your purchase.

Our Service

The Pixel Masala transforms customer-supplied photographs into personalised artwork.

The ordering journey may allow you to:

  • Upload a photograph
  • Choose an art style
  • Add optional instructions
  • Choose a frame
  • Select a size
  • Review your selections
  • Complete checkout
  • Only options displayed as available on the website at the time of ordering may be selected.

Your Personalised Artwork Every Artwork Is Individually Created

Your photograph provides the starting point for your personalised artwork. The selected art style and any instructions you provide help determine its creative direction.

Because personalised artwork involves artistic interpretation, characteristics such as:

  • Colour
  • Brushwork
  • Lines
  • Texture
  • Contrast
  • Shading
  • Background treatment
  • Detail
  • Artistic emphasis
  • may differ from the original photograph.

These creative differences are a natural part of personalised artwork and do not, by themselves, mean that the product is defective.

Samples Are Style References

Artwork displayed on our website is intended to demonstrate the general appearance, mood and creative direction of each art style.

Samples are not exact previews of your photograph after transformation.

The appearance of your finished artwork will depend on your own photograph, its composition and quality, the selected art style and any applicable creative instructions.

Therefore, your finished artwork should not be expected to exactly reproduce a sample displayed on our website.

No Automatic Final Preview

The Pixel Masala does not currently provide an automatic exact preview of the finished personalised artwork before purchase.

Style examples shown during the ordering process are references only.

Where a particular service includes an artwork review or approval stage, that feature will be clearly identified as part of that service.

Photograph Quality

For the best possible starting point, please upload the clearest photograph reasonably available.

Photographs that are extremely:

  • may limit the detail that can reasonably be interpreted.

Where necessary, we may ask you to provide an alternative photograph.

Permission To Submit Your Photograph

  • Privacy
  • Copyright
  • Intellectual-property rights
  • Other legal rights
  • Where another identifiable individual appears in your photograph, you are responsible for having the appropriate authority or permission for the use you request.

Permission Required To Create Your Artwork

You retain the rights you already hold in the photograph you provide.

By submitting it to The Pixel Masala, you grant us the limited permission reasonably necessary to transform and reproduce the photograph for the purpose of fulfilling your order.

This does not transfer ownership of your original photograph to The Pixel Masala.

How we handle the photograph and associated personal information is explained separately in our Privacy Policy.
